The Cardiac Wing brings together the complete continuum of cardiac care within a purpose-designed, integrated facility. From emergency response and specialist consultation to advanced diagnostics, interventional cardiology, cardiac surgery, critical care, inpatient services and rehabilitation, the facility is structured to support patients across every stage of their cardiac care journey.
Cardiac Emergency & Acute Care
A dedicated 9-bed Cardiac Emergency Unit provides immediate assessment and management of cardiac emergencies, supported by continuous patient monitoring and dedicated doctor and nursing duty rooms. An on-site pharmacy, billing and patient information services further support efficient access to care.
Specialist Consultation & Assessment
The Cardiac Wing houses dedicated consultation facilities for cardiology and cardiac surgery, with multiple consultant clinics and assessment rooms designed to facilitate specialist evaluation, follow-up and coordinated care.
Advanced Cardiac Diagnostics
A comprehensive range of diagnostic services is available within the facility, including Echocardiography, Exercise Tolerance Testing (ETT), Pulmonary Function Testing and laboratory sample collection. Integrated diagnostic services enable timely assessment and support clinical decisionmaking.
Interventional Cardiology
The facility includes two dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories (Cath Labs) supported by control and plant rooms, preparation facilities, male and female changing areas and a dedicated recovery area. The integrated arrangement enables patients to move efficiently from assessment and preparation through intervention and post-procedure recovery.
Cardiac Surgery
Two dedicated Operation Theatres are supported by purpose-designed preparation and recovery areas, scrub and sterile support facilities, nursing stations, surgeon and doctor rooms, changing areas and dedicated inventory storage. The surgical infrastructure is designed to support a coordinated pathway from pre-operative preparation through surgery and recovery.
Critical Care
Dedicated critical care facilities include a 6-bed Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) with central monitoring, a PVT ICU and 4 HDU beds. Dedicated doctor and nursing facilities support continuous clinical supervision and coordinated critical care.
Integrated Hospital Support Systems
The facility is supported by integrated infrastructure designed to improve operational efficiency and patient care. A Nurse Calling System enables timely communication between patients and nursing teams, while a dedicated Garbage Chute System supports efficient movement of waste within the building.
A Pneumatic Tube System provides rapid internal transportation of physical items, including blood samples, medications and documents, between key departments. Using air pressure and vacuum technology, the system significantly reduces transit time and supports faster, more efficient clinical workflows.
Inpatient Care
The Cardiac Wing provides a range of private, executive and semi-private accommodation, with dedicated male and female inpatient areas. Doctor and nursing rooms are integrated within the inpatient floors to support responsive clinical care.
